Bel

On Christmas Eve 2018, Belinda (Bel) was running around, desperately trying to create the perfect Christmas for her kids. Attempting to control kids who were itching for their holidays and being the first Christmas following her separation from her husband, the holiday was a struggle and Bel was exhausted. This was the day she experienced her first major seizure.

After countless appointments, scans and tests, Bel was finally diagnosed with frontal lobe Epilepsy, often triggered by high levels of stress, lack of sleep and heightened emotions. Three years earlier, Bel had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). She now lives with not just one neurological condition, but two.

Thanks to generous donors like you, Bel was able to receive employment support, help accessing the NDIS and assistance from MS Nurses.

“It’s really important to have people who believe in you and people who are understanding, that are not going to give up on you”

Through your support people like Bel will know they can turn to MS Queensland for the guidance and assistance they need to navigate their individual MS journey.
