Mater Prize Home winner – Cleaner to millionaire!

Can you imagine going to work in the morning, and then returning home a millionaire?  This fairytale has come true for Mater Prize Home winner Tina from WA.

Tina was in shock when she received a call announcing that they had won a million-dollar home at Palm Cove, Tropical North Queensland in  Mater Prize Home Lottery 286.

When she sent a rushed text message to Augie, her husband, her excitement got the better of her words. Augie first thought that Tina won a prize for cleaning a house, as she worked as a cleaner at the time. He was very confused, and it wasn’t until later that Tina called and cleared up the story. “This win is definitely life-changing! Tina had a really tough job so now she has retired. I can see how much happier she is,” Augie shared.

Unlike his wife, Augie enjoys his job as a train driver. Though he is 76 years old, he isn’t planning on retiring just yet.
