Brisbane Man Retires After Winning Mater Prize Home!

A Brisbane local named Brian is celebrating after winning Mater Prize Home draw 275. As a long-time supporter of Mater Foundation, Brian has been committed to helping Mater Foundation.

“It never about winning a house, winning prizes or anything like that. It was more about the fact that I was giving to Mater Foundation.”

Brian has been a long-time supporter, being a $30 VIP Club member since 2013.

Coincidentally, the day Brian got the call from Mater to tell him he was the winner of the $1.6 million prize home was also his son’s birthday. This made the day even more special. In complete disbelief, he said: “This doesn’t happen to me!”

After the initial shock had worn off, Brian shared the news with his family and friends, including his girlfriend and two sons. “The boys are so excited by the pool and having a TV in their rooms!”

The prize home is located in Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It boasts lakeside living at its finest, with water views from the master bedroom and living room. Brian said that he was most excited about the kitchen and getting to cook with the gas stove.

The prize also included $100,000 worth of gold bullion and a Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE which is now parked in the driveway of Brian’s new home. He has since retired from working in the building industry and Brian looks forward to settling into his new home.
