In record-breaking history, Powerball has reached new heights with its first ever $200 million jackpot up for grabs in Powerball Draw 1446 this Thursday 1 February, 2024.
This will be the largest ever jackpot offered in history by an Australian lottery game, surpassing the previous record by a huge $40 million. The record for the largest lottery jackpot was previously held by Powerball in 2022 when it hit $160 million.
Powerball only came close to the previous record twice in 2023 with a jackpot of $100 million on 22 June and 3 August. Oz Lotteries sold one of two division 1 winning tickets in Draw 1420 on 3 August to a 58-year old Victorian woman.
The record has come after no division 1 (one) winning entry in the Powerball $100 million Draw 1444 on 18 January, and no division 1 winner again in the $150 million Powerball Draw 1445 on 25 January.
Despite no division 1 winners last week there were 26 (twenty-six) division 2 (two) winners who shared a total prize pool of $2,865,553.60, with each winning ticket walking away with $110,213.60 each.
Tickets for the record-breaking jackpot are available for purchase now until 7:27pm AEST (8:30pm AEDT) Thursday 1 February, 2024.
With the record-breaking jackpot expected to drive additional excitement, it is recommended that you purchase your ticket early to ensure you are in it to win it. Large queues are expected in-store and online on Thursday which might make it difficult for last-minute purchasers.
Powerball will be drawn at approximately 8:30 pm AEST (9:30pm AEDT) Thursday 1 February, 2024. Keep an eye on the Oz Lotteries Facebook page, Powerball results page, and the Oz Lotteries app to check your Powerball results.
Despite no lucky Division 1 winner, twenty-six (26) Division 2 winners walked away with a share of $2,865,553.60.
The winning numbers for Powerball Draw 1445 were 21, 9, 27, 6, 1, 26, 4 with a Powerball of 10.
There was no Division 1 winner but fifteen (15) Division 2 winners who shared a total of $1,980,603.
